How Much Does It Cost to Convert VHS to Digital?
One price for every home video format, from VHS to MiniDV, priced per tape of up to two hours. Every tape is watched in real time as it captures, and blank footage is never billed.

How Much Does It Cost to Digitize Photos?
Loose prints, photos in albums, and whole album pages, scanned at up to 1000 DPI on a 4x6. The enhanced set adds a corrected copy beside the faithful original.

Every negative is scanned at about 4300 DPI and color corrected by hand. 35mm and 126 share one price; every other size has its own.

How Much Does It Cost to Convert Cassettes and Reel-to-Reel Tapes?
Audio is billed by the hour of sound we actually recover, so a tape that is half blank costs half as much. Blank tape is never charged.

How much does it cost to convert VHS to digital?
Each home video tape up to two hours is $19.95, whatever the format, from VHS to MiniDV. A tape of 2 to 4 hours counts as two. Betacam and Betacam SP are $40 per tape.
How much does it cost to convert 8mm film to digital?
Film is billed by the foot we actually measure: $0.28 per foot at Gold HD, $0.35 at Platinum HD, and $0.45 at Professional 2K. A full 400 ft reel at Gold HD is $112.
How much does slide scanning cost?
$0.45 per slide for a Premium scan, or $0.65 with hand color correction. Send carousels just as they are.
How much does it cost to digitize photos?
Loose prints are $0.49 each, photos in albums $0.79, and whole album pages $1 per page. 1,000 loose prints come to $490.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes. The minimum is $50 of conversion services. Drives and discs do not count toward it, and smaller orders show a minimum order adjustment line on the estimate.
Do I pay for blank tapes or footage you cannot convert?
No. Blank tape and blank footage are never charged, film is billed by the actual footage, audio by the hour of sound recovered, and an item that cannot be converted at all is not charged.
Are drives and DVDs extra?
Yes. Your files come on a drive sized to the project, priced in the table above, or on a drive you supply for a small copy fee. DVDs and Blu-ray discs are optional and priced per disc.
When do I pay?
In three steps: a small amount at checkout to hold your place in line, about half when your media arrives and is counted, and the balance at completion, based on the actual counts.
Do you offer bulk or volume discounts?
No. Our prices are the same for every customer, already well below our regular prices. Larger orders can qualify for an extra 10% off with a coupon, and the estimator shows you when yours does.
