Not only did you do a fabulous job, working with you made the whole process enjoyable. Picking up my films and also personally delivering them helped me feel safe about letting them out of my sight. I was deeply touched. I consider these memories priceless.

I had a lot of 8mm tapes I needed converted before they got the chance to deteriorate. After searching and searching I contacted Legacy Digital Productions. After a lot of hesitation and fear of losing tapes, I convinced my mom to finally have these tapes converted with assurance from Scott. Scott drove out to my house to personally pick up the 20+ tapes. When they were ready, Scott delivered them safely back. It's a truly priceless feeling to see your old memories played back. To hear the voices of those we've lost. I can't thank you guys enough. We also had some old films converted for my mom to DVD. I just discovered more tapes I will need converted and I will use this company again. They earned my trust.

My Grandparents had 8mm films that I had transferred to dvd. Scott came to my home and explained in detail the process. When completed, he actually came to my job to deliver. I was surprised what a great job they did. So after some tears and laughs seeing 50 years of film, I have something to share with my children and grandchildren. Scott and his team at Legacy Digital did an amazing job with my 45 year old 8mm films. After they clean the film they scan each frame and adjust for brightness and contrast. The film never runs through a projector. I ordered a Bluray and as files on a hard drive. I am a video editor by trade. I work on high end movie trailers and TV commercials. I know quality and professionalism and Legacy Digital has both.

Very satisfied, but you have to be patient. I had 1700 feet of old (1950 - 70's) 8mm and Super8 film digitized. Converted to both SD and HD formats onto a disk drive that I supplied, so files are quite large (20GB for 8" reel - 400'). But the higher resolution (than DVD using mpg2 compression) is better for my purpose of video editing. HD is 1920x1080, but of course the image is still the original 4 x 3 aspect ratio (which makes the picture part 1440 x 1080) so as expected there are black bars on either side -- but resolution is as good or better than the film (some sites estimate 8mm film resolution to be around 800 by 600). It took about 7 weeks (they said 6 to 8 weeks), so be prepared to deal with that turn-around time. But quality was superb -- with the knowledge that film stock does degrade/fade over the years. But the video files that they produced was what was on the film, and in fact is _better_ than what I'd seen before with a projector, because now the lighting is consistent and doesn't fade or blur towards the corners.

A special thanks to Scott for always being reliable and available to answer any questions. All 26 reels I sent in were completed and sent back, within the time frame that we discussed before starting. The quality of the finished product is impressive, I am very happy with how everything turned out. All of the reels were returned cleaned and carefully packaged.

Scott was diligent in keeping me up to date on the progress. This is not the least expensive service, but you get what you pay for.

Legacy Digital did a fabulous job of getting our old family films and slides on dvd for my parents' anniversary. The quality was amazing and my parents were so surprised. Scott was so helpful picking up and delivering our order saving us time and gas money and keeping our fAmily treasures safe from the mail. I definitely would recommend them to anyone and in fact am calling them again to do all of our vhs tapes and camcorder tapes next.

Legacy Digital did an excellent job! I had about 30 reels of very old movie film, some over 60 years old without sound that ran on an old projector. The projector no longer worked so I couldn’t watch. I decided to take the reels to Legacy Digital, and they put everything on a flash drive. Now I can watch on my computer! I had a great time working with Scott, saving about 30 reels of film from my girls' childhood that they can now show to their kids. He was extremely responsive and very professional, the price was right, and he was even so kind as to get the digitized collection back to us before Mother's Day!

The need to preserve them and to be able to easily share them with other family members.
