Legacy Digital Ambassador Terms

1. The program

As a Legacy Digital Ambassador, you share a personal referral link. When someone places a qualifying order through your link, you earn a commission. The program is free to join and there is nothing to buy.

2. Who can join

You must be 18 or older and a U.S. resident with a valid U.S. tax identification number. Current Legacy Digital employees are not eligible (family members of employees are). We may approve or decline any application, and approval is required before you can earn.

3. Your referral link and credit

You receive a unique referral link. A new customer who visits through your link is credited to you when they place their first paid order, subject to our tracking and review. Credit goes to the first ambassador associated with a given customer. You cannot earn a commission on your own orders or on orders you place for members of your own household.

4. Commissions

You earn a commission of 5% to 10% of the net value of each qualifying order you refer. "Net value" means the price of the conversion services after any discount or coupon, and does not include sales tax, shipping, or the cost of physical media such as flash drives, DVDs, or Blu-ray discs. A commission is earned when the referred order is paid in full, and becomes payable after the order has cleared its satisfaction and refund window (currently 35 days). If a referred order is refunded or cancelled, the related commission is reversed; refunds after a payout are offset against future payouts.

5. Payments

Approved commissions are paid on a monthly schedule, once your balance reaches any stated minimum. You choose how you are paid (for example PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, check, or Legacy Digital account credit) and you are responsible for keeping your payment details current. Unclaimed or undeliverable payments may be forfeited.

6. Taxes and your W-9

Commissions are income and are your responsibility to report. If we pay you $600 or more in a calendar year, U.S. law requires us to issue you a Form 1099, and we must have a completed Form W-9 from you first. Once your earnings for the year reach that threshold, further payments are held until you provide a valid W-9. If you do not provide a W-9 within 60 days of our request, the held commissions may be forfeited, or we may apply backup withholding as required by the IRS. Your W-9 is stored privately and used only to meet these tax-reporting obligations.

7. Honest promotion (required disclosure)

When you promote Legacy Digital, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires you to clearly disclose that you may be compensated for your referral (for example, "I may earn a commission if you use my link"). Do not make false or misleading claims, do not spam, and do not use our name or brand in paid search ads or in a way that suggests you are Legacy Digital or speak for us. Always describe our services accurately.

8. No guarantee

We do not guarantee any level of referrals, earnings, or results. Your earnings depend entirely on the qualifying orders placed through your link.

9. Suspension and termination

You may leave the program at any time. We may suspend or end your participation, withhold or reverse commissions, or close the program, if these terms are violated, if fraud or abuse is suspected, or at our discretion. Commissions properly earned before termination remain payable subject to these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms or the program at any time. Material changes take effect when posted on this page. Continuing in the program after a change means you accept it.

11. General

You are an independent participant, not an employee, agent, or partner of Legacy Digital Productions. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
