Are your old home movies fading?
Stop the memories from being lost forever.
All 8mm and 16mm film reels fade as they age, and your memories may be fading away with them and lost forever.
Your films will be converted to DVD and/or Blu Ray disk using the same trusted process that the Academy of Motion Pictures in Hollywood uses to convert their legacy Film Archives, like original prints from Alfred Hitchcock and others.
And when you want your movies preserved on DVD, Legacy Digital, a local Orange County Company located adjacent to Los Angeles, will treat you to the same quality and extra care.
Let us help you stop this process and preserve these memories that can't be replaced by transferring them to DVD and Blu Ray. We can also transfer them to other formats as well upon request.
We use only State of the Art technology to provide you with the best possible quality film transfer. While most transfer outlets will gladly place your film on a projector and videotape the screen for you, we go through the painstaking process of doing it right.
First, we clean and recondition your film. This re-lubricates brittle film, removes an oxidation layer, and removes dust from your film preparing it for the best possible picture quality. We use the same film cleaners as the Hollywood studios. Watch out for those who save money by using Isopropyl Alcohol. That is a drying agent and can damage your film.
Then we run it through our system that doesn't use a hot bulb or sprockets that tear up film, and captures each frame individually straight into the computer without touching any part of the image. This provides you with a frame accurate, fully digital transfer.
Unlike other outfits that use the VHS copy to produce your DVD, our DVDs and high definition Blu Ray transfers are digitally captured, frame by frame, in full 1080p format providing you with superior quality.
Once we have your transfer done, we can also edit out the highlights, add special effects, music, and titles to create a wonderful program for you.
