We are usually about 4 to 6 weeks out, but that depends on the season and current circumstances. Rush orders are available at additional cost. This will ensure that your order will be completed within one to two weeks depending on the size of your order. It is always difficult to say what exactly day your photos whether loose, in albums, delicate or damaged will be done.
Everyone’s photos are different and we take the time on every single order to make sure it is done right, even if we have to spend extra time and redo scenes until we are happy with them.

At Legacy Digital Productions, we offer true museum-grade photo scanning at 1000 DPI, far beyond the 300 or 600 DPI offered by most others. Every photo is handled with white gloves, dusted with microfiber cloths, and individually scanned using professional flatbed equipment, never high-speed sheet feeders that can damage originals. We handle all sizes, from small prints to posters over two feet tall, and work with loose photos, album photos, and even delicate or damaged images. No sorting or organizing required, just send them the way they are and we’ll preserve whatever grouping you already have. After scanning, you can choose your original high-resolution scans alone, or add a second AI-enhanced version for just pennies more. All files are delivered as high-quality JPEGs on a flash drive, external hard drive, or as a playable DVD slideshow. Loose photo scans start at just $0.49 per photo, album photos at $0.79, and full album pages at $0.99 during our current special. Every project is completed in-house by our experienced staff, nothing is subcontracted or sent off-site, and your originals are always returned safe and sound.

Loose photos are photos that are in good condition, not attached to pages or inserted in an album, typically stored in boxes, envelopes, or bags. They do not require special handling. Loose photo scans are priced at just $0.49 per photo at our current special rate (regular $0.70). Want your photos enhanced? Add an AI-enhanced version for just $0.59 per photo (regular $0.84), you’ll receive both the original scan and the enhanced version. All loose photos are scanned at 1000 DPI, delivering 4000 x 6000 pixel images from a standard 4×6 print.

Photos in Albums
Album photos are photos that are inserted in an album, attached to a page, or otherwise require careful removal before scanning. These require special handling and additional time. If we determine a photo can be safely removed, we will do so, however, if removal risks damage, we will leave it in place and scan it as-is. In most cases, we will not reinsert photos after removal, as the adhesive pages and older album materials are often acidic and can actually cause further damage over time. Album photo scans are priced at just $0.79 per photo at our current special rate (regular $1.13). Want your photos enhanced? Add an enhanced version for just $0.89 per photo (regular $1.27), you’ll receive both the original scan and the enhanced version. All album photos are scanned at 1000 DPI,, delivering 4000 x 6000 pixel images from a standard 4×6 print, for maximum detail and clarity.

Delicate or Odd-Sized Photos
Full album pages and posters are scanned as a single image rather than as individual photos. This is ideal for preserving the layout of a complete album page or for scanning oversized items up to two feet tall and beyond. Full album page and poster scans are priced at just $0.99 per page at our current special rate (regular $1.41). Want your scans enhanced? Add an enhanced version for just $1.09 per page (regular $1.56), and you’ll receive both the original scan and the enhanced version. All pages and posters are scanned at 1000 DPI, delivering 4000 x 6000 pixel images from a standard 4×6 print, for maximum detail and clarity.

Important things to ask/ know about Photo Scanning:
When shopping around for quality photo scanning, here are a few things you should ask:
Will you use an actual professional photo scanner (not a cheaper, lesser quality scanner meant for documents) like Legacy Digital will?
Will you scan my photos at up to 1200 dpi like Legacy Digital will?
Will you scan my photos so they retain my groups of photos, putting each group of photos in separate folders labeled with the name of each group like Legacy Digital will?
Will you ensure they are scanned with the correct orientation so that they come out right side up like Legacy Digital will?
Will you scan my photos “in-house” (not send them out to sub-contractors out of the area or out of the country) like Legacy Digital will?
How to choose your resolution:
- If you only ever wish to be able to view them on a computer monitor, then 300dpi is sufficient.
- To print in high quality at up to twice as large as the original, and/or leave room for cropping, choose 600dpi. If you want maximum quality and flexibility, and more room for cropping before you print, choose 1200dpi. This will yield prints up to 4 times the original’s size and maintain the maximum quality.
- Prices are for loose photos in good condition. If photos are in albums, glued to backings, damaged, cut into non-rectangular shapes, or in other ways extra fragile, add $.50 each only for those that need special handling.
- Call and we will be happy to discuss which resolution setting will best meet your needs.
